The Prescott-Russell Community Development Corporation (PRCDC) is proud to announce the launch of the United Counties of Prescott and Russell Strategic Territorial Positioning Project. Funded through the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade's "Trade-Impacted Communities Program" (TICP), this initiative is designed to strengthen the United Counties of Prescott and Russell's (UCPR) capacity to respond to the economic disruptions caused by the U.S. tariffs and trade restrictions, particularly in the manufacturing, agri-food, and transportation sectors.
Over the next 24 months, the Prescott-Russell Community Development Corporation (PRCDC) will implement a regional strategy to support small and medium-sized businesses affected by tariffs. To address these challenges, the project will focus on three key strategic initiatives:
- A strong and cohesive regional brand that will enhance the UCPR's position at the provincial, national, and international levels as a preferred destination for investment, business relocation, and expansion for businesses affected by instability in international trade.
- A bilingual website featuring an interactive map of commercial and industrial properties, providing investors with accessible, up-to-date information to support timely, transparent, and Ontario-focused investment decisions.
- The implementation of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to ensure professional follow-up with existing businesses and prospective investors, including businesses seeking to relocate supply chain operations outside the United States.
